The BEAR® implant represents a groundbreaking advancement in ACL repair, enabling your body to heal its own torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL).

Traditionally, a torn ACL is replaced with another tendon from your body or a donor. However, the BEAR implant, combined with your own blood, is placed between the torn ends of your ACL, facilitating the formation of a clot that is essential for natural healing. Prowers Medical Center’s Orthopedic Team, led by Ryan Carr, MD, and Alan Garcia, PA-C, is proud to offer this cutting-edge option. “We can perform approximately 90% of the procedures available in Colorado Springs or Denver,” says Garcia. “We’re the first in Southern Colorado to provide the BEAR implant option.
