Title: Pharmacist

Full Time Position

 

JOB SUMMARY

Pharmacist will work as part of a team to assist in the monitoring of clinical/pharmacy services and medication therapies; Assures the safe, efficacious, and cost-effective drug therapy for all patients.  Reviews and assesses medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug related safety issues; Recommends formulary alternatives when appropriate; Compounds and dispenses medications according to orders issued by an authorized prescriber.

 

General Description

Assures appropriate selection and dispensing of medication orders; Oversees and supervises activities of Pharmacy Technicians; Provide patient care services including but not limited to antimicrobial stewardship,  pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing; Maintains security of pharmacy and controlled substances; Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients; Communicates with providers as necessary to facilitate care; Performs operational/clinical functions or projects as assigned.

 

Responsibility

Compound and prepare ordered pharmaceutical preparations. Contacting and conferring with medical Staff regarding medication orders.  Filling and checking medications cassettes.  Checking IV antibiotic culture slips against patient profiles to assure proper antibiotic is being used, daily.  Consulting with physician and patient care services staff as to the availability of drugs, side effects, dosage forms, and incompatibilities of currently available drugs.

Special Demands

Mental:                    Moderate to high stress.  Ability to adjust and interact with a wide variety of job situations involving many different people and projects.

 

Physical:        Long periods of standing, walking, and lifting. Exposure to blood and body fluids, unpleasant sights, smells and infectious diseases possible.

Qualifications

 

  • Full Colorado licensure to engage in the Practice of Pharmacy
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Working Environment/ Salary Range

Title:  Food Service Worker I

Full-Time Temporary Position

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

General Description

Will do cold food preparation (salads and desserts) for patients, cafeteria and catered meals.  Responsible for maintaining high standards of quality food production, portion control, sanitation and safety.  Will help serve cafeteria customers as well as patients.  Help with dishes and cleaning duties.  Runs cash register and counts back change to customers.

Responsibility

Must be able to serve attractive and tasty food in a timely manner.  Must be reliable, dependable, have knowledge of and/or be willing to learn the special diets & use of cash register.  Must be able to communicate well with others.  Confidentiality of information is expected at all times.  Must follow safety and sanitation guidelines.

JOB SUMMARY

General Description

This position assumes responsibility and accountability for providing direct patient care to a group of patients for a designated time frame on a medical-surgical unit. Astute assessment skills, IV skills, independent decision-making and the ability to function under high stress situations is required.

Responsibility

Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing, systematic manner.  Formulates a goal directed plan of care by establishing priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available unit resources.  Performs efficiently in emergency patient situations, following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons and documenting events.  Is also responsible for the supervision of any LPN’s, Nurse Aides, and assignments to the Medical/Surgical Unit.

Accountability

The RN reports directly to the Acute Care Services Manager.

Special Demands

Mental:               Stressful environment with frequent crisis intervention and creative problem solving required.

Qualifications

Education:       Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and current Colorado license.  Must have documentation of current CPR and Basic Life Support training.  ACLS certification or will have certification within one year of employment.

Employment Variables

Full Time position working 36 hours per week 12-hour shifts working 7:00pm to 7:00am.  May need to work overtime as need arises.  Shift differential available.

JOB SUMMARY

General Description

The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care within the scope of their practice. The position is one of providing direct patient care to women in labor, through delivery, postpartum, and to provide direct care to the newborn. Assuring all aspects of maternal childcare.

Responsibility

Performing assessments, monitoring process of labor, preparing for C-sections, inductions, and proper documentation of nursing care. Administer care during labor, post-delivery, and postpartum including infant care and providing patient education. Prepares delivery room, provides emotional support, and coordinates transfers. Administer IV medications, adhere to principles of infection control and general policies of OB department. Knowledge and/or interest in obstetrics and equipment.

Job Summary

General Description

The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care within the scope of their practice. The RN will function as a primary care giver.

Responsibility

Conducts assessments, documents care, provides emotional support, coordinates transfers, recovers patients, circulates cases, assist with processing instruments/equipment in central sterilizing and prepares patients for surgery. Assist other staff members and provides patient education. Knowledge of and/or interest in technical procedures and care. General Description

Responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational services as prescribed by a physician. Qualifications

Title: Surgical Technician

Surgical Services Department

Full-Time Position

Job Summary

General Description

The Surgical Technician (Surg Tech) functions as a part of the surgical healthcare team, providing technical support to surgeons, RN’s, and anesthetist in the operating room setting.  He/she works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.  During the operation the Surg Tech arranges supplies and instruments, keeping an accurate count of the latter at all times; passes instruments and other sterile supplies to the surgeon during the operation; helps apply dressings, and helps prepare and preserve specimens taken for testing.  In the Sterile Processing area, the Surg Tech will operate the sterilizers and run the various testing to validate and verify sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies. The Surg Tech will be responsible for cleaning and decontamination of surgical instruments following their use in surgery after regular hours, and checking instruments before and after cases for proper working condition and sterility.

Responsibility

Uses principles of aseptic practice in varying situations.  Inspects sterile items for contamination before opening. Maintains sterility while opening sterile items for procedure.  Anticipates the need for supplies and equipment.  Checks supplies for outdates, restocks operating room and orders supplies to maintain an adequate on hand supply.

Accountability

The Surgical Technician reports directly to the Surgical Services Department Manager.

Title:  Central Sterile Technician

Full-Time Position

JOB SUMMARY

The CS Processing Technician performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment.  Performs other duties as assigned or required by the Surgical Services Manager.

Responsibility

Decontaminates and sterilizes surgical instruments, medical supplies and equipment, and assembles wraps and sterilizes trays and sets of instruments. Follows proper Standard Precautions while in decontamination and sterilization areas.  Monitors biological indicators. Monitors chemical wash solutions to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and medical equipment.  Verifies that sterile processing equipment functions properly, requisitions for equipment maintenance, repair or replacement, and removes defective equipment.

 

Accountability

The Central Sterile Tech reports directly to the Surgical Services Manager.

     Special Demands

Qualifications Education: High School graduate and or higher education desired.

Licensing: National or State certification or equivalent preferred.

Training and experience: One year of current experience within the last three years in a comparable job preferred.  Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment preferred. Maintains CPR/BLS certification.

Complies with Infection Control, Standard Precautions, and OSHA standards.

Ability to work independently and with team members. Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. Ability to work efficiently in an organized manner. Ability to understand medical and surgical terminology. Achieve Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) status within 2/years and Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) status prior to 3 years of employment in this position.

Title: Physical Therapist

1 – Full Time Position

Job Summary

General Description

The staff physical therapist has the responsibility for evaluation, consultation and treatment of patients, as well as, the overall utilization, supervision and instruction of professional and supportive staff, volunteers and students in their area of physical therapy as it pertains to the care of their patients.

Responsibility

Is proactive in ensuring that patient is progressed to prior level of function or maximum medical improvement per Plan of Care. Performs an appropriate assessment on each patient, as related to the therapy requested and reassessments as per policy. This includes pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and the general patient population. Maintains records pertinent to patient care including progress reports, daily notes, special reports as requested, and supervision of Physical Therapist Assistants.

Title:  Physical Therapist Assistant

Full Time Position

JOB SUMMARY

General Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work as part of a team to provide physical therapy service under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist.  The PTA will implement selected components of patient/client interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort.

Responsibility

PTA’s assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to the very oldest, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives.  Patient care is provided as in-patient, outpatient and home health settings.

Accountability

The Physical Therapist Assistant reports directly to the Rehabilitation Manager.

Experience:     Minimum of two (2) years of experience preferred.  Bi-lingual capabilities helpful.

Working Environment

General work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Will be placed in a weekend rotation.  May need to work additional hours as the need arises.  Work in a state of the art, newly built Rehabilitation Gymnasium, clean, well-lighted, heated and air-conditioned area.  Exposure to unpleasant sights, smells and infectious diseases possible.

Title:  Licensed Respiratory Therapist

1 – Full-Time Night Position

JOB SUMMARY

General Description

Under the supervision of the Cardio-Pulmonary manager, the Licensed Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician’s orders, and department policies and procedures.  The Licensed Respiratory Therapist manages and provides care to patients via the nursing process, therapeutic environment, treatment modalities and inter-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibility

Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychologic and cognitive status.  Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of oxygen concentrations and medication doses as they relate to patients of varying ages, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients.  Formulates a goal directed plan of care which is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes.

Accountability

The Licensed Respiratory Therapist reports directly to the Cardio-Pulmonary Manager.

Qualifications

Education:       Must be a graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy and have a current state of Colorado Respiratory Therapist license. Must have proof of current instruction in CPR.

Working Environment

Full Time position working 36 hours per week 12 hour shifts working 7:00pm to 7:00am.  May need to work overtime as need arises.  Shift differential available.

CT/Radiologic Technologist

Full-Time Position

JOB SUMMARY

 

General Description

Provides a variety of technical procedures requiring the use of ionizing radiation.  This position requires independent judgment and technical skills to produce the best possible radiography for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibility

Performing CT examinations.  Produces radiographs using proper technical factors and evaluates each film for proper exposure and positioning, schedules exams and properly instructs patients on preparations for exams and sets up and organizes rooms for any radiographic procedures.

Accountability

The Imaging/Radiologic Technologist reports directly to the Imaging Services Manager.

Qualifications

Education:       Graduate with ARRT Registry.

Experience:      CT and X-ray experience required.  Willingness to cross-train in Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Mammography in the future.

Works in the Imaging Department as assigned.  Hours and shifts are variable and will include rotation of coverage for weekends, holidays, and on call.

Salary Range

Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

JOB SUMMARY

General Description

  • A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a Diagnostic Ultrasound Professional that is qualified by professional credentialing and academic and clinical experience to provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. The scope of practice of the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer includes those procedures, acts and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience, has demonstrated competency, and has completed the appropriate ARDMS certification(s) which is the standard of practice in ultrasound. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography.

Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or equivalent experience is required.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Full-Time Position

JOB SUMMARY

General Description

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for the evaluation, planning, and treatment of patients with deficits in the areas of speech, language, fluency, voice, cognition, and/or swallowing. Evaluations and treatment planning and intervention will span across all ages as well as across the settings of inpatient, outpatient, and home health.  The SLP will provide standardized testing as well as video fluoroscopic swallowing studies as needed within the evaluation process.  Skilled treatment programs are individualized to each patient in order to increase independence, improve quality of life, and increase safety across functional activities related to communication, swallow, cognitive, and voice deficits. Patients undergoing treatment with an SLP may have a cognitive or communication disorder which may prevent them from being understood or understanding others. Physical impairments relating to swallowing function may impact quality of life and safety. An SLP assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while providing ongoing education to patients and families to discuss potential limitations of the patient’s capabilities.

Education: B.S. and M.S. degree in the field of Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.  Successfully passed the national exam and registered in the State of Colorado. ASHA certified and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience preferred.

Working Environment

Provides treatment in multiple settings including inpatient, outpatient and home health.   Full Time position (30Hours per week) working Monday through Friday.   Stress of meeting deadlines, busy environment, numerous interruptions, exposure to emergency situations, extended hours depending upon job necessity.

Salary Range
