Title: Renovation Technician

Full-Time Position

JOB SUMMARY

The Renovation Technician is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance repairs and services to hospital property. This includes but not limited to repairs, replacements, and upgrades of fixtures, doors and hardware, floors, ceilings and walls.

General Description

Prepare, prime, sand, seal patch, and paint horizontal and vertical surfaces. Prepare the floor’s surface for the installation of new flooring. This includes removal previous flooring materials and subfloor prep. Replace finishes as needed which may include the installation of countertops, doors, trim, and hardware. Assists in the performance of building maintenance work involving minor repairs and carpentry tasks.

Responsibility

· Demonstrates effective knowledge of and ability to follow building code requirements.

· Demonstrates effective safety practices and procedures.

· Completes work orders as directed

· Maintains accurate records of maintenance procedures

Accountability

Renovation Tech reports directly to the Facilities Management Manager.

Special Demands

Mental: Willing to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis. Ability to accept supervision from a number of persons.

Physical: Ability to perform tasks despite numerous interruptions. Pushing, bending, stooping, reaching; on feet most of the day.

Qualifications: Knowledge of general building maintenance and labor. Knowledge of construction Painting

Working Environment:

Mainly works inside hospital facilities. Some outside working helping

Salary Range:

$16.29 – $20.03 per hour based on experience. This is a fulltime temporary position that includes sick time pay and automatic enrollment in retirement plan with employer match. Possibility for position to turn in to a full time benefited position.

Title: Home Health Registered Nurse

Full-Time Position

JOB SUMMARY

General Description

This position assumes responsibility and accountability for planning and providing coordinated nursing services and securing appropriate rehabilitation services to all patients in an assigned caseload. Assumes the roles of patient advocate, teacher and counselor in assisting patients to their optimum levels of wellness. Maintains appropriate documentation of home services and effectively communicates with patients, significant others, and other care providers.

Responsibility

Employment Variables

Working Monday-Friday 30-36 hours per week with some weekends. Will require on call rotation with compensated call time.

Salary Range

$34.03 – $41.85 per hour based on experience and weekend shift differential. Title:  Mammography Technologist

Full-Time Position

JOB SUMMARY

The Mammography Technologist performs radiographic mammography procedures which produce high quality diagnostic films for use in the detection of breast tissue abnormalities.

General Description

Performs breast imaging procedures within the scope of the assigned department. Performs quality mammography and performs all MQSA and ACR specific quality controls and reporting . Prepares exam room. Obtains and reviews screening sheet, and requests an accurate clinical history as necessary for the exam. Reviews patient history and determines proper selection of protocols. Explains method of examination and positions patient. Assesses the patient’s status and needs, completes appropriate diagnostic techniques/tests to ascertain patients on-going condition, and performs the necessary interventions. Work with radiologist and physicist to perform MQSA and ACR requirements annually.

Responsibility

Reviews and evaluates completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered, including coordination from third parties/referrals. Ensures quality images. Informs patient of physician’s instructions or ancillary caregivers observations or concerns and takes same into consideration in providing appropriate care. Ensure the mammography department is continuously survey ready for MQSA and ACR.

Accountability

The Technologist reports directly to the Imaging Services Manager.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited American Registry of Radiologic Technology Program, required American Registry of Radiologic Technology ARRT (R) (M), required.

Working Environment

Works in the Imaging Department as assigned.  Monday- Friday 8:00-4:30pm.

Salary Range

$35.26 – $43.37 per hour based on experience. Consulting with physician and patient care services staff as to the availability of drugs, side effects, dosage forms, and incompatibilities of currently available drugs.

Title: Surgical Technician

Surgical Services Department

Regular Full-Time Position

JOB SUMMARY

General Description

The Surgical Technician (Surg Tech) functions as a part of the surgical healthcare team, providing technical support to surgeons, RN’s, and anesthetist in the operating room setting.  He/she works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. During the operation the Surg Tech arranges supplies and instruments, keeping an accurate count of the latter at all times; passes instruments and other sterile supplies to the surgeon during the operation; helps apply dressings, and helps prepare and preserve specimens taken for testing. In the Sterile Processing area, the Surg Tech will operate the sterilizers and run the various testing to validate and verify sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies. The Surg Tech will be responsible for cleaning and decontamination of surgical instruments following their use in surgery after regular hours, and checking instruments before and after cases for proper working condition and sterility.

Responsibility

Uses principles of aseptic practice in varying situations. Inspects sterile items for contamination before opening. Maintains sterility while opening sterile items for procedure. Anticipates the need for supplies and equipment. Checks supplies for outdates, restocks operating room and orders supplies to maintain an adequate on hand supply.

Accountability

The Surgical Technician reports directly to the Surgical Services Department Manager.

Title: Pharmacist

Intermittent Position

JOB SUMMARY

Pharmacist will work as part of a team to assist in the monitoring of clinical/pharmacy services and medication therapies; Assures the safe, efficacious, and cost-effective drug therapy for all patients. Reviews and assesses medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug related safety issues; Recommends formulary alternatives when appropriate; Compounds and dispenses medications according to orders issued by an authorized prescribers.

General Description

Assures appropriate selection and dispensing of medication orders; Oversees and supervises activities of Pharmacy Technicians; Provide patient care services including but not limited to antimicrobial stewardship,  pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing; Maintains security of pharmacy and controlled substances; Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients; Communicates with providers as necessary to facilitate care; Performs operational/clinical functions or projects as assigned.

Responsibility

Compound and prepare ordered pharmaceutical preparations. Contacting and conferring with medical Staff regarding medication orders. Filling and checking medications cassettes. Checking IV antibiotic culture slips against patient profiles to assure proper antibiotic is being used, daily. Consulting with physician and patient care services staff as to the availability of drugs, side effects, dosage forms, and incompatibilities of currently available drugs.

Special Demands:

Mental: Moderate to high stress. Ability to adjust and interact with a wide variety of job situations involving many different people and projects.

Physical: Long periods of standing, walking, and lifting. Exposure to blood and body fluids, unpleasant sights, smells and infectious diseases possible.

Qualifications:

Full Colorado licensure to engage in the Practice of Pharmacy

Equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Working Environment/ Salary Range:

$61.00-$75.60 per hour based on experience. This is an intermittent position working on an as need basis. Typical working hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 that includes, paid sick time, and automatic enrollment in retirement plan with employer match.

Title: Physical Therapist Assistant

Regular Full-Time Position

JOB SUMMARY

General Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work as part of a team to provide physical therapy service under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist.  The PTA will implement selected components of patient/client interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort.

Responsibility

PTA’s assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to the very oldest, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. Patient care is provided as in-patient, outpatient and home health settings.

Accountability

The Physical Therapist Assistant reports directly to the Rehabilitation Manager.

Qualifications:

Education: Must be a graduate of and have a certificate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Must be currently credentialed by Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Professions and Occupations, State Physical Therapy Board. Must have verification card of current instruction in BLS.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience preferred. Bi-lingual capabilities helpful.

Working Environment

General work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Will be placed in a weekend rotation. May need to work additional hours as the need arises.  Work in a state of the art, newly built Rehabilitation Gymnasium, clean, well-lighted, heated and air-conditioned area. Exposure to unpleasant sights, smells and infectious diseases possible.

Title: CT/Radiologic Technologist

Regular Full-Time Position

JOB SUMMARY

General Description

Provides a variety of technical procedures requiring the use of ionizing radiation. This position requires independent judgment and technical skills to produce the best possible radiography for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibility

Performing CT examinations. Produces radiographs using proper technical factors and evaluates each film for proper exposure and positioning, schedules exams and properly instructs patients on preparations for exams and sets up and organizes rooms for any radiographic procedures.

Accountability

The Imaging/Radiologic Technologist reports directly to the Imaging Services Manager.

Physical: Flexibility to work in continually changing conditions. Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment. Ability to lift and move patient with or without assistance and maneuver equipment greater than or equal to 20 pounds. Agility is required for frequent changes in position. Visual and hearing acuity required to receive feedback and information from patients. Periods of stooping, standing, bending, moderate lifting, and generally oriented patient care is included in this position.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate with ARRT Registry.

Experience: CT and X-ray experience required. Willingness to cross-train in Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Mammography in the future.

Working Environment

Works in the Imaging Department as assigned. Hours and shifts are variable and will include rotation of coverage for weekends, holidays, and on call.

Salary Range

$35.26 – $43.37 per hour based on experience plus weekend shift differential, call pay and call back pay. Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Regular Full-Time Position

JOB SUMMARY

General Description

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for the evaluation, planning, and treatment of patients with deficits in the areas of speech, language, fluency, voice, cognition, and/or swallowing. Evaluations and treatment planning and intervention will span across all ages as well as across the settings of inpatient, outpatient, and home health. The SLP will provide standardized testing as well as video fluoroscopic swallowing studies as needed within the evaluation process.  Skilled treatment programs are individualized to each patient in order to increase independence, improve quality of life, and increase safety across functional activities related to communication, swallow, cognitive, and voice deficits. Patients undergoing treatment with an SLP may have a cognitive or communication disorder which may prevent them from being understood or understanding others. Physical impairments relating to swallowing function may impact quality of life and safety. An SLP assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while providing ongoing education to patients and families to discuss potential limitations of the patient’s capabilities.

Education: B.S. and M.S. degree in the field of Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.  Successfully passed the national exam and registered in the State of Colorado. ASHA certified and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience preferred.
