About Champions of Care
The Champions of Care program offers patients and their loved ones the opportunity to support our hospital while paying tribute to someone who enhanced the patient’s experience and truly made a difference in their life while receiving medical care.
Perhaps it was an outstanding physician or nurse, a supportive therapist, a caring receptionist or volunteer, or an entire department. Whoever it was that made an impact can be honored through a charitable gift.
When you honor your Champion of Care with a gift to the Foundation, they receive a card with your special message and a custom-crafted pin to wear proudly everyday while continuing the work that benefits those in our community. The amount of your gift will not be shared with the honoree(s).
In addition, your donation goes toward other Foundation efforts, such as equipment upgrades and necessary technologic advancements for our expert medical teams.
How to Honor a Champion of Care
To honor a Champion of Care of your choice, you can either fill out an online submission form or send a gift by mail. You can honor as many Champions of Care as you wish.

Q: What is the best way to say thanks for great care?
A: Making a donation through the Foundation’s Champions of Care program provides you with the opportunity to say thank you to the person who impacted your life — or the life of someone you love. At the same time, you recognize and support the excellent work that saves and changes lives every day at Prowers Medical Center.
By honoring someone who has made a meaningful difference in your life with a gift to the Foundation, you’re letting them know their efforts are noticed and valued.
Your Champion of Care will receive a pin to wear with pride. Units will receive a framed certificate to display. Your gift will support equipment and technology to advance the work your Champion does each and every day — allowing them to change and save more lives.
Q: How do I say thanks with a donation?
A: To recognize the person or team that made a real difference in your life, or that of someone you love, you can make a donation to Foundation to say thank you to your Champion of Care.

Q: Who can I honor as my Champion of Care?
A: You can choose to honor an individual, a specific unit or an entire program.
Q: How will my Champion of Care know that I honored them?
A: Foundation staff will present the pin or framed certificate to your Champion of Care, along with any personal messages you share with us. The amount of your donation will not be shared with your Champion of Care.
Q: Will I receive a charitable tax receipt for my gift?
A: Yes! If you make your donation online, your charitable tax receipt will be emailed to you. If you make your donation over the phone or through the mail, your charitable tax receipt will be mailed to you.
Q: Can I designate my gift towards an area of care?
A: Yes, you can designate your gift to a specific area of care. Simply let us know which area you’d like to support in the payment comments or when you call or mail your gift.

We called our provider and were advised to take him directly to the Emergency Department. The man who admitted us was so funny, it calmed our nerves. Our nurse was so sweet and thorough, and she made us feel so comfortable. Our ultrasound tech was really friendly and explained everything we were seeing as she did her job. Our physician was knowledgeable and kind and made sure we had all the info we needed. Even the front reception staff were kind and courteous when we first arrived.
