As the year 2023 comes to a close and we enter the season of reflection and gratitude, the team at Prowers Medical Center is taking the time to slow down, sit back and truly reflect on our many accomplishments this past year.

It is a critical time in health care, both here in Lamar and nationally. We continue to work hard in the face of the current staffing shortages. We review, consider and implement new opportunities to make health care more accessible, more affordable and more impactful for everyone.

The lifeblood of any organization is the staff with whom you interact every day. Prowers Medical Center is blessed to have a skilled, dedicated and compassionate team who continually think ahead and routinely go above and beyond to deliver quality patient care and ensure the best overall patient experience to anyone who walks through our doors.

Health care is personal. We make a difference in people’s lives each and every day. That is both a rare privilege and a profound responsibility. Our days are filled with little moments with tremendous impact: team members escorting a family to a procedure or clinic visit, or a physician/provider getting down to eye level to talk with a child. These moments not only help to improve the patient experience, but more importantly, they foster a personal connection and reflect our organization’s culture of complete, compassionate care in times of healing and recovery.

Rural health care is stepping up to the challenge, offering assistance and taking care of the patient no matter what it takes. Throughout the year, there have been countless demonstrations of your community hospital’s health care team generously offering support, giving hope, touching lives and helping those in need.
