Dr. Shapiro is affiliated with the Pueblo Pulmonary Associates out of Pueblo. He specializes in pulmonary and critical care sleep medicine. His specialties also include internal medicine and pulmonary diseases.

Dr. Shapiro is experienced in performing all customary pulmonary procedures, which include: bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound and thoracentesis. Dr. Shapiro also interprets sleep studies and treats patients with sleep disorders.

He is a member of the following professional organizations: Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Sleep Disorder Association, American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, American College of Physicians, and American Medical Association.

His hobbies include flying private pilot-single engine airplanes, with high performance/retractable gear instrument ratings, golf and skiing.
