Our full-service birth center at Prowers Medical Center features state-of-the-art central fetal monitoring and spacious, private rooms equipped with either a jacuzzi tub or a private shower. Nurses and physicians offer full-scope OB-GYN care and are trained in STABLE (stabilization and transporting of newborns) and NRP (neonatal resuscitation program).
Education focused
Staff focuses on newborn education for mothers, such as what to expect, baby care, how family dynamics change, post-birth complications and warning signs to look for, and any necessary follow-up care.
Award winning
We achieved the “Celebrate 6 Award of Breastfeeding Excellence” at the 2020 Colorado Hospital Breastfeeding Summit, which is presented to Colorado hospitals that provide excellent breastfeeding support.
Safety first
Your and your baby’s safety is our priority. Utmost attention is placed on following up-to-date care protocols as described by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
We have delivered over 1,500 babies over the last decade — about 150 babies per year. Between deliveries, outpatient testing and monitoring, we have 700 to 900 patient encounters every year. We have the expertise and experience to provide you and your baby the best care.
Services
“The New Beginnings Birth Center nurses work here, live here and stay here, because they genuinely care and know their work matters.”
About Us
The New Beginnings Birth Center creates supportive atmosphere for new mothers and their new babies. All of our nurses hold several certifications, including neonatal resuscitation (NRP), basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and advanced fetal heart monitoring, and STABLE, a method to stabilize and prepare sick newborns for transport. Babies born after 36 weeks are delivered at the hospital, unless they are deemed high risk. Birthing tours are available.
To help protect your new addition to your family, provide for bonding of the new family, establish breastfeeding, and plenty of rest for the new mother, the New Beginnings Birth Center has the following visiting hours. Visitors are encouraged to come between the hours of 6 am and 10 pm. No children are allowed to visit unless they are a sibling to the new baby or are 16 years of age or older.
