Every year, we look forward to connecting with our supporters and our community at the Friends of the Foundation Gala and sharing our vision for the future that we are building together. While we are still as dedicated as ever to enhancing the quality of healthcare available in our community, your safety comes first. Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the Gala in 2020.
This was an extremely hard decision for us. The Gala is an incredibly important event for the Foundation and it’s one of our favorite ways to celebrate all of you — but we need to prioritize the health and safety of our community and our attendees, sponsors and everyone who helps put the Gala on. We explored other ways to keep this year’s Gala, but it’s important to us to host an inclusive event and it didn’t feel right to have the Gala without our supporters in attendance. We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event, but we know it’s the right decision based on the information we have today.
Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We are looking forward to hosting you in the future, once the global health pandemic passes.
Our team will be reaching out directly to sponsors and attendees in the coming days with information about providing full refunds or transferring your donation to the 2021 event. If you have any questions, please contact our offices at 719-336-7065 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for understanding during these difficult times. We’d like to thank each and every one of you for supporting Prowers Medical Center Foundation. We remain committed to our community and to improving lives, one project at a time. Every year, we donate the funds raised from the Gala to a needed project to improve healthcare in our community. Currently, The Prowers Medical Center Foundation is working hand-in-hand with the medical center, on efforts to build a new imaging center with better space and upgraded equipment. As part of that campaign, the Foundation has committed to raising $1.6 million for an MRI scanner with vital upgrades and advanced capabilities. The campaign will span two years from 2019 to 2021.
Together, we can bring the very latest in MRI technology to Lamar. If you’d like, you can donate your gala refund to this campaign so that we can continue making a difference during the coronavirus crisis. If not, we understand. In the meantime, please stay safe.
